Well folks this is it, the final decoy of the month challenge for this off season. I want to thank everyone who has participated in these threads the last several months. Wether you were a carver, commenter, or just followed along, thank you.

So, you will need to take my word for it as I diddnt get her picture taken, but the decoy of the month for this month is ...... "Trout"

Create your best idea of a trout decoy. There are a lot of options with this one as there are several different species of trout that swim in MN waters.

I am so in but I think I'm going to carve a little simpler this time.

Half way through the month. How's everyone doing? I have this months decoy carved, glued up, leaded, bondo'd, and seal coated.

Will be balancing in the tank and getting base coat of paint on in the next day or so.

Just added fins and lead. It ended up balancing nicely just need to paint it.

Here is my absolutely fabulous "rainbow trout"

I made the wooden tail by cutting the tail off at an angle and gluing it back together with a dowel.
