RIPN LIPS
I am looking for any information or feed back from anyone who has one of these series boats or have ridden in one. Also how do they compare ride wise to the other glass boats out there? thanks
ANYFISH2
Shameless plug, I build the hulls to theses boats. A nice boat for sure.Which model are you looking at? New or used(yr)?I have test rode in the 1750 and 2020. These boats tend to run on the heavy side in thier class. I would recommend getting as close to max HP as you can afford. Hole shot from both is quick with max HP (that is what we tested with that day). Waters were near calm the day I was with, so my first hand knowledge is limited on ride. It was quiet and smooth that day.Dan Eigen (sp) ( Walleye Dan) runs our 2020 and spoke very highly of rough water ride and dryness of ride. All bias aside I think they are a great choice for thier price. Can they compete with Ranger or skeeter? I don't know, it young brand of fishing boats, l'll leave that up to you!
Northlander
I rode in the 2020 I think it was and although it was a very good looking boat and laid out ok I found the ride to be sub par to other glass boats I have rode in. It also seemed more tipsy side to side when walking around and stepping to the edges to net fish etc. It was a quiet ride as you would expect from a glass boat but I expected the boat to be faster both out of hole and top end. Fit n finish was ok but not Lund, Ranger, Skeeter or Triton nice. The price is ok on them. No matter what you buy drive it and if its used have the motors checked out. No matter what boat I recommend you max out the HP.
BrandonN
I have not ridden in one yet but Larson is a fantastic company and have been making boats for many years. The Vec Technology is pretty cool stuff from what I hear. They have very tight tolerances on the boats.
weld1
Did they move the fuel tank breather above the rub rail yet so when your out beating the waves it don't fill the fuel tank with water? just wondering.
