nige
Am looking for somewhere around Ely or Grand Marais. Hoping to go towards the end of Jan. Doesnt have to be amazing fishing. Just somewhere for a few hours of fishing and then spend time with the wife who has zero interest in fishing. Any ideas?
leech~~
Ely maybe, Grand Marais not to many unless you go up the trail a ways. Drop her off at the Grand Ely Lodge where she can have a few martini's and sit in the pool or sauna while you go Laker Fishing with a local guide such as Steve Foss or Mike Stark! Feel free to PM me for more info, but I do know that we are booked up form 1/22 - 2-1. Busy time of year.Good Luck Man,Jarrid

leech~~
Thanks. The wife picked a cabin on Loon lake on the gun flint trail. Any advice on fishing there? You mite contact the Lodge and let them know what you want to do and if they have any ideas for you. Get a lake map of the lake and have it handy when you get there so the lodge owner can maybe give you some ideas of where to get on and off the lake and where to try and ice conditions? It looks like your choices on Loon are Northern, Lake Trout, Small mouth, Rock bass. Make sure you check the open season for each.
