bak2MN
I want a lite, easy to pull, big enough to fish 3, and able to sleep in fish house. What do you guys think would be the right size? I would like to stay away from wheel house. I have had a 8x18 Ice Castle and a Alum skid house but both were to heavy and a pain in the rear in there own way. I have a big trlr and a 4 wheeler and snowmobiles etc.I am just looking to have something a snowmobile could pull and be easily loaded on a 4 place trlr. Could a guy build one with 1 1/2 studs, spray foam, and 1/4 plywood on the outside and some sort of plastic skid surface? It seems that skids with plastic work ok but to wide or to narrow pose each there own problems.Anyone have any thoughts?
Lip_Ripper Guy
1/4" plywood is going to be heavier than aluminum. Soderbloom has a nice aluminum skid house with a plastic surface on the skids. Very slick.
Naturboy
Have you looked at a Zack Shack? I think their made in ND where the fish houses have to float. Its nothing fancy but then its a fish shack. It does have wheels but can be pulled with a sled.
vikingmeatwad
What about an aluminum wheel house like a 6 x 12v?I would think that would be nice and easy to move around?
