Granddaughter's first camp out

Sitting around the campfire reflecting on the perfect day my 4 year old granddaughter had on her first camping experience.

She said this is the best day ever!

Her dad isn't big on camping, or I'm sure it would have happened much sooner. We always camped as a family so my daughter and I took her to Whitewater State park. Perfect weather and great times. Looking forward to the morning's hike.

So is this your son-in-law then when you mention dad? Do you know where he grew up and/or environment? I'm only asking cuz I see the same with folks I live by and work with. I grew up in rural MN and our family did ALL the stuff, camp, fish, sled, ice fish, hunt, etc.et.. And I'm finding over 75% of the metro folks do hardly any of that stuff. I seriously wonder how folks can survive in the urban jungle....

By the way, that is super cool of you do that. This past weekend we were at Glacial Lakes State Park and rented canoes for the first time. My daughters LOVED it!!
