Check airbag light is on

05 Chev truck, The light I understand it is a sensor in the bumper, how would I test this problem to determine which one is bad

Same year same brand and same problem. Only way to tell what is causing the problem is to take it to a shop that has the right tester.All most all home scan tools can not test. While the light is on, airbag system is deactivated. Mine is the sensor on the front bumper. Not a cheap part. Good luck

There are only two front sensors. If you are confident it is one of them, replace one side and if the light doesn't go off put the one you removed back on the other side. The light will go off after the self-test unless of course both sides were bad to begin with.
