Lac Seul Survey?

lawman

Question

Has anyone heard the status of a LakeMaster or Navionics survey of Lac Seul? Fished this lake recently and it would be nice to not hold your breath every time you get off a familiar trail. In the past I heard the MNR was making this process a bit difficult.

I have had the Navionics chip for several years its pretty good. Never depend on the chip to be 100 percent accurate on a flowage. Lac Suel can vary many feet in depth depending of what the hydro Co is doing at the dam. It has kept me out of trouble but I would never depend on it totally to show every hazard or rock pile. Lac Suel can also have a ton of wood and dead heads floating around depending on its level.

heck we had a chip back in 2009 or so that showed hazards out on Lac Seul...again things varied but I remember looking and see hazards on the graph and sure enough a big rock would be sticking out of that area...
