HotSpotOutdoors was the very first forum that I joined. I liked the lay out, the different sections, the members, and the posts. Since then I've joined several other outdoor related forums but this is always the first one that I check when I pull up the browser.

There is a great group of people here that are willing to help out some users who are less knowledgeable in certain areas. If I have a question about anything outdoor related or area specific this is my first stop as I feel like I'll get honest and helpful information.

Have any of yous guys ever gone out for the evening with full intention of only having a couple beers while watching the ball game..........just to have it turn into a full blown weekend bender where you wake up face deep in the muckety muck wondering what just happened, where are my socks, and where in the heck am I??????

Kinda what happened to me with HSO. The staff were kind enough to not call the 5-O, give me a pair of socks (soft and fluffy ones to boot), and a ride home.

That was quite a few years ago. I've been hanging around ever since. Kinda like that neighborhood dog that no one really owns but everyone feeds some table scraps from time to time.

The fishing and hunting info doesn't suck, either.
