Any of u using these rods? Was looking at gear to get into the sport let me know what u think . Also looking at shimano reels .

nice rods, I own a couple of them. You can also find some cheaper used shimano calcutta 400b's online and they are a solid reel.

I used to own a couple. Never did like the weight of the rod and how tip heavy it was. Tried a Tackle Industries rod and have used them since they first came out. Sold the dawg rods in favor of the TI. Haven't had a need or desire to try anything else since. BTW I do own Loomis and a custom There Brothers rods and prefer the TI...
