nmitchell17
Any advice for mounting sonar on a kayak? Location for transducer, type etc
yakfisher
I use ram suction cup mounts and an arm transducer mount. Works well for me. I was even able to take the setup with me on a fly in trip and use it on the boat at the lake.
iland99
I've got a Humminbird 597ci on my kayak. I mounted the head unit on a RAM mount. My transducer sits off the back on a suction cup mount. There really wasn't anywhere to run the power or transducer cable so I stole one of the kids' pool noodles and velcroed it underneath the gunwale. Both cables run perfectly down the center of the noodle, plus it adds flotation as a bonus. Here is a link to a picture folder I'm working on. It's a work in progress, disregard some of the battery placement pics, I ended up putting the battery in a box behind the seat. I still haven't uploaded pictures of the finished product.
