Ya, Ron Schara's little Merc wouldn't start. so he was floating down trying to get that thing going. I gave him a tow back to his place, of course it was way up stream, but we managed. Of all the people it happened to Mr. Outdoor bound. Real nice guy, and met his dog Raven. Raven wanted to go fishing.

You should have taught that guy how to fish. I watch his show all the time and never have been impressed with his limited knowledge. Without the high buck guides he would be "stuck upriver without a working motor"! lol

But it's still fishing...better than most of the dump on TV.

TB what are you doing this weekend? Millelacs again? The reports are looking sweet.

And I agree with you. He's a nice guy though and he was down stream about 3 miles from his place. Never go down stream, I've learned the hard way about that.

I'm hoping to but haven't got a confirmation from my fishin buddy yet.

From past years experiences I should just stay on Tonka. I do just as well here as they do up there, without the long drive. But, if I put my time in I'll figure out ML also.

I'll let you know either way. Are you going to be around this weekend?

I'll be around. Sat will be the river. Not sure which one, depends on the weather/wind.

Sunday is Tonka time.

Fellas, I've worked the deep weed edges for a total of 6-7 hours (best guess) and have only one 17" bass caught on a plastic jerk bait. I've tried deep cranks (DT10) and pulled up very healty coon tail. I've slow rolled spinner baits, jerk baits, dragged ring worms, and even tossed out the bass jig. I'm still at a loss. Any one having good bass results on Tonka?

I'm thinking of trying carolina rig, small jig n grubs, drop shots, and may even try spooning. Any one have any current results. Tonka is getting pounded right now incase any one didn't know.
