i have decided to return this combo and upgrade for a reel that will work with a shimano 6 6 medium fast action rod 6-14 line wt. would like to use the set up for cranks. is this possible and are there any reel recommendations out there in the $50 range that i can use with fireline?

A quick look through one of the large online retailers of fishing tackle makes me thing $100 is more like it.

Maybe something used from the bay? Garcia 5500C3 or C4 is a pretty good reel.
