Anyone Know Anything About Old Fishing Equipment?

Getanet

Question

I have a client on the Northeast coast that likes to go to auctions with her husband. They bought an old tackle box, and sent the contents to me because they had no use for it and thought I might find it intersting. Does anyone know anything about Atom Plugs, or Wupee worm tool? I was just curious if either of these are really interesting, or just really old...the stapler is just for reference. With the Wupee, it appears you stick the metal rods in the ground, connect the wires to them, and plug it in. The current makes the worms crawl out of the ground. But the plug-in looks more like the end of a light-bulb:

My got to source for the value or interest in stuff like that is still the bay of e, expecially "completed auctions" to see what the stuff was really selling for and how many bids it was getting.

The Wupee is of interest to me becauseI never knew such a thing was commercially made and marketed. For many years I have used two pieces of wire coat hanger about 12-16 inches long to which I attach a lamp cord which I have split apart a few feet. I jam the rods into the ground where I suspect worms are, plug the lamp cord plug into an extension cord. If there any worms in the area or grubs, they will wiggle to the surface in a minute or so. It works great and is the usual way I get worms out of my gardens.
