Sportsmen Show?

Just curious if any of you have been to this show?

I am wondering what is there for exhibitors relating to Elk hunts, if any or should i find a different show to attend? Specific to CO or WY.

You mean the Northwest Sport Show at the Mpls Convention Center, March 26-30?

Even though this show is not all it used to be, it is still one of the biggest shows in the country. If you only go to one sport show a year, this is the one. Yes, there will be many Elk Hunting Outfitters on hand. If that is your reason for attending, you will not be dissapointed.

Agree. Have not been there in years, but it always seems like 95% of the booths are manned by either Ontario resorts or Western State Outfitters.

that is the show i was referring to.

I just went thru the exhibitor list and there were only two listed from CO.

So the list is not accurate./?

CO isn't the only place to hunt Elk really. MT, Az, Wy, Ut, Id, Wa, Canada, etc. all have Elk hunting.

I went last year, and am going again this year, and they had a lot of booths offering Elk hunts in various states and canadian provinces, most offered more than just Elk, so the Booth listing will be misleading.

Based on my past experiences, personally I have always had much better luck on these types of hunts being recommended to me by people I know and trust who have been there vs booking a hunt like this at a show or from online for that matter. Just my .02.

we wont be booking - but thanks for the heads up.

Mainly a scouting/research adventure. Hopefully going to draw for a 2015 hunt and wanted to get a start on areas to look into.
