I thought this may be a nice little unit to use on a sled with the GPS.

If anyone has one how does:

The GPS work on them?

How is the Lake chip for them?

Which lake map did you get?

I've got a HDS-5 Gen2 that I took out of the bow of the boat and mounted on my sled this year. No issues so far with cold, been out in -30F. No issues with vibration, etc... Using the chip that includes LOTW. This replaces an H2O that I had previously mounted. The 5 is easier to see and I do not need to be concerned about AA batteries.

Is there a micro chip LM or Nav that just has MN on it? I've seen a lot with a bunch of other combind states on them which I will never fish and I don't want to pay for all that and not get more lakes in MN I may fish.

Didn't humminbird buy LM??? Anyways, I bought one of these units just for my sled and it works great. I use the maps it came with, and as any other, it gets you close. I bought the expensive Nav maps for my HDS and they aren't much better. I couldn't use that card in the 4 because the 4 only accepts 2GB or smaller card... The unit works well for my needs, GPS seems very close and never had an issue with acquiring location. I'd say go for it, worth the money.

Thanks for the info. I did pick one up today on sale at FF and they only have a few left at two stores. Oakdale and Cambridge.

Yes, but can find the lm cards online pretty easy.
