dfeste
I'm now in the market for a 1 man flip style fish house and I have my eye on the Fish Trap Legend. What draws me to this model is the size, weight, and fact that it's insulated. I read some of the threads from back in December and I'm wondering what the folks that bought these houses back then think of them now. I remember reading about some issues with the canvas being a bit on the tight side and I'd like to hear how things have worked out. Thanks for any help. Scott M
Love my Legend, just haven't had a chance to use it as much as I would like. Was planning more after work fishing trips this winter but wife's work hours changed a little so I was needed home with the kid.Yes, they came out a little tight, but I loosened up the velcro attachments and didn't have any problems. The house is very light and easy to move, I don't even throw a heater in it stays so warm, and its very portable. The lightbar is awesome and this thing has a ton of space when you sit in itThis is your ultimate drag out one man house. A couple rods, a compact box in your pocket with a few jigs, your flasher, your auger, and you are fishing!
CamozKool
Its a great little portable only wish it had inside skirting like the otter as I dont take the time to bank it in, otherwise its money well spent... happy fishing...
Scott O.
Been out over a dozen times since I bought my Legend Thermal and love it. It's roomy and warm, especially if the sun comes out and hits that thermal fabric. The seat is very comfortable. It is relatively lightweight, though I have some pulling issues if I'm walking in deeper snow and I've got all my gear in it, but I accepted this when I bought it since it is 70# and I don't have a 4 wheeler or snowmobile. Had the same issue with the fabric when I put it on, but loosened the velcro and adjusted the poles to the lower hole and no problems since. Quick set up and take down. One great one man shack for sure.
jnwb
I and 2 friends all have the legend. Great lights great thermal perfect one man size. 2 of us had the tight issue we loosened the velcro seems to work. We all agree with camoz. It needs better skirting where the sled an tarp meet at the ice.
Brad B
I won't go back to a non thermal house after getting this(okay with the exception of my Scout EXP which is thermal top only). I love the size of it and how bright it is inside the house when I have the light bar on. actually it is too bright at times and to fix this I got a 12 volt LED dimmer off e bay and installed that. I really like the fact that there is no dripping inside and I can get by with the heater on a lower setting.
dan z
I'm pretty sure its the same foot print as my Jason Mitchell pro thermal and really wish the tube was deeper and the snow skirt was a little bigger. It heats very well and you really don't need heat if the sun is out. My seat could use some more cushion as I felt the 4 screws in the bottom of the chair after a few times of use. The reclining feature is nice. My sled lights work very well when needed. Just like anything on ice nowadays little modifications make things better.
