BryeGuy
I am moving to Ramsey in a few weeks. I have spent the last 15 years around Chisago and CC. Do most people hop over and fish around Buffalo or fish around the zimmerman/big lake/princeton areas? I plan on having my 6x10 on the ice and head out a few times a week. Also, where are the bait shops to hit and which ones to avoid?Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post on here. Thanks
going4it
Lots of lakes within 30 minutes to choose from. Zimmerman or buffalo areas they are both great and will keep you active. I like ebners right on 10 in elk river. Good luck and hope this helped a little.
bltbowhunter
There's not a ton of great lakes around to hit. I usually head over to Wright County. Ebner's is the best bait shop around for sure.
monstermoose78
Swing into the Cambridge,Elk River, Zimmerman, Milaca, Mora, and Princeton forum. I try to keep up with the hottest bites around Princeton and Zimmerman. I will stray over to Cambridge and Mora areas as well. Hope to see you in there soon. There has been a pretty good Crappie bite on Green for some and a few walleyes are being mixed in. Blue Lake has been putting out crappies after dark in the 17-24 foot range. Let me know if you need any help finding place to fish. Good Luck
BryeGuy
Thanks MM. Are there lakes that you wouldnt put a fish house due to high break-ins? (i know it happens everywhere) Ill take a little slower fishing if that means I dont get beer bottles in my hole and turds on my floor. monstermoose78
Well I can ask around about that and I would bet who hears about it more than me is the local bait shops. I just have my portable. You could ask in the Cambridge forum and I know some of the people in there would know better than I.
