If it's in the driveway it is up.

I don't think you are gaining anything by lowering it other than exercise grin Which ain't a bad thing smile

I block mine up on land all summer when it is used for camping.

I leave mine up unless I'm using it. Let the wind blow beneath it to dry things and keep the steel up and away from snow and moisture. My boat trailer and several other trailers I have don't get blocked up why should the fish house. And I've never had mice in mine like a few friends I have that lower theirs. If you do lower it I would at least block it up a few inches.

I lower mine most of the way (sitting on blocks), makes it easier going in and out of it when packing for the next trip. Also keeps it from rolling down the driveway and is a little bit of a theft deterrent.

Same here, also when it gets windy like yesterday I like it sitting on blocks. Takes less than 5 minutes to crank back up.

Mine stays up only when I am going down the road. When at home, I also let it down on 8x8 blocks. In the summer, when not in use it is blocked and the wheels taken off. I grease everything and spray white lithium on the cable, pins, and winches. I put an RV cover over it to keep the summer sun off.
