deerhunter
I'm wondering if anyone has one of these and if its got the power with the 10 inch
JSK76
I've got the Honda lite 4 stroke with the 10" on it. If you would have asked me right after I bought it I would have said its under powered, it seemed to get jamed up at the end of the hole. I just got back from fishing LOW and White Fish Bay and didn't run into that problem. I don't know if motor got more broke in or what but it seem to work great. I also started leaving the choke on slightly because it's cold blooded so maybe that's why. It's not the fastest but it's probably a bit faster then my buddy's Eskimo Baracuda 10" 3hp. We never raced but I could judge from how long it took us to drill holes.
1211polaris
I just bought a strikemaster Honda lite with the 10 inche an it works great. Mine isn't cold blood it starts on the second pull all the time. I love it wouldn't trade it for nothing.
deerhunter
Any issues with power? I font care about speed I guess I just want it to cut threw
Northlander
The Honda will turn a 10" no problem. Its not a hole burner but is more than good enough for me. My 8" auger on the Honda power head is quicker and getting quicker with more use.

Redlineracer12
Thanks for the info I just bought a 10 inch for $500 thought that's a pretty good deal Have you been out using your Honda Lite? I am thinking about purchasing one of these in the 10" model, are the powerheads the exact same between 8"/10"? I already have two 8" lazer bits I could use (Electra and Lazer 2 stroke), but there are times in the wheelhouse where I think I could benefit from starting with a 10" hole and this seems like a best of both worlds approach. JSK76
The power head is the same but someone on hear mentioned earlier in the season that SM did something on the 10" to open up the throttle more. I can't say if this is true or not.
