New Chase System?

The Vegas race today made me see how new system can make the finish a little better. With Jr knowing he's in, he had nothing to lose by going for the win rather than backing it down to save fuel and finishing a conservative 3rd or worse.

I really don't believe there would've been any drama whatsoever at the end of the race otherwise. Even Jr probably got a better result out of the day than he would've had he strictly been racing for points to make the chase. Just my thoughts....

I don't know yet if I like the new system or not. The original system is for drivers and they get the subtle drama. I get that the new system is to punch up the drama for the fans and why true blue blood racers wouldn't like it. But without the fans, you don't have much of a sport. NASCAR is past it's growth bubble in my opinion but I'm still watching.
