Broken Drawcord For Eskimo

So this weekend i was out ice fishing and i go to pull on my eskimo auger drawcord to start her up and the string snaps in half. The auger is on its third season which is too early in my opinion to be having these problems. Ive heard that eskimo has good customer service do you think they would replace the draw sting? Also, if eskimo does not fix it i was wondering if i should invest in a new kind of string? This is a nylon cord. Do they make more durable kinds?

I'm not sure Eskimo would replace that and I'm also not sure it's worth the time. Mine snapped earlier this year so I just went and bought a whole new recoil from D Rock Center in New Brighton.

How much cord ya got left. If there's enough you can just take it apart and rewind your recoil.mine broke off about an inch in where the rope makes a sharp bend.

Just remove the 4 allen bolts on the top, remove the recoil assembly and re-wind it back to spec.

Should be easy.. Just reinforce the the rope by the pull handle with a washer or something

I have dealt with Ardisam Corporation (Eskimo) several times over the years. Their customer service is the reason I stay loyal to their product line. I would definitely contact them and let them know your situation. It never hurts to ask.

If you email - they will always respond within 2days. I know people are always looking for instant gratification but 2 days is reasonable. But each time i reach out to them they will respond.

Also - phone them up for more urgent matters, usually this media is quicker.

It might be a good time to upgrade to their new Hyper Coil. A replacement recoil assembly is 25 dollars and the new Hyper Coil is 29 dollars. Pretty easy replacement and it will upgrade the auger at the same time.
