Extended Run Generator Gas Tank

I've been using these for 5-6 years but always build them with a primer bulb and clear gas line to be sure they are working. With a Honda and a fuel pump like they have, is a simple piece of black fuel line between the tank and generator the way to go? The clear stuff always gets very stiff in the cold.

I use the standard black fuel line with no issues, the key to any of the extended run set-ups is no air leaks in any of the connections

Mine always works but there are a lot of potential air leaks with that clear line and a bulb. You're black gas line only then? I'm going to do it that way, it has suction so the bulb is definitely not needed.

I wasn't aware the Honda had a fuel pump, since the tank sits on top I thought it was gravity feed. Your talking about the little portable red ones right?

I'm not 100% sure it does but about 80% sure. That's why a tank can sit next to a Honda but has to be higher than a Yamaha isn't it?

They sell the caps on amazon. I bought the same quick attach end that is on my mercury kicker motor and it threaded right in to the cap. Now i just use my auxiliary gas tank from my boat on the generator.
