Alexandria area ice conditions

Yeah the Leech / Park Rapids area is horrible with slush. I hit a couple lakes in PR this weekend and if you go more than a 100 feet out you're battling 3-6" of slush. Hit Red also and it is apparently hit and miss with slush. On my way home today I swung over to Green by Spicer for a few hours and that ice is perfect, very little snow and about 2 feet of ice. From what I heard the Ottertail area has pretty bad slush as well. Alex is right between OT and Green so it may or may not be better. I haven't heard how much snow they have gotten, but being they are on 94 it probably isn't good, it seems all the storms have traveled right down that corridor.

I just got back from fishing in Alex.

We had 13" of ice on Carlos, with minimal snow coverage (3-5 inches?) and no slush. Le homme Dieu had tons of BIG wheelhouses, suburbans and pickups going out of Rotary beach. There were probably 50+ wheel houses out there.

Fishing was good....
