Chapo
I have a pop-up camper/modified into a fish house and I use five gallon pails for hole sleeves. Does anyone have any tricks or things they use to better insulate the sleeves to prevent the holes from freezing or heat loss from the house. Thanks for tips. CAMAN
Computer fans (12 volt) close to the ceiling above each hole blowing warm air down are what a lot of people do. Otherwise banking around the house helps and since you have a camper that probably doesn't drop down banking snow around the sleeves should do the trick. 8ucksho7
i saw styrofoam sleeves that slip inside a five gallon pail in a fleet store. they were advertised to "turn your 5 gallon pail into a cooler". maybe that would work?
Ron Vroom
I used to wrap reflextive ( sp?) around outside of tubes using foil aluminum tape to tape the edges together which did help somewhat. But now I remove the 2 wheels on my airstream and lower down on to innertubes for an airtight seal. Don't really need to skirt or bank anymore. DIESELDAN
I had a house that was off the ice quite a bit so I bought some 12" pvc and some 10" pvc and cut both to length with the 10" sleeved inside the 12". Then used small wood spacers so the gaps were even, then I sprayed insulating foam in the gap. Worked pretty well, but they were kind of heavy.
