fishinnut_3446
Would like to hear from some of you that have a heater/cooker with the 1lb. tanks good/bad?I have a little buddy and 2 big buddy's, but I was looking at these I kind of like the idea of being able to heat something up morning or midday. And I noticed on high setting it's 15k btu and my little buddy is 9k do they put out that much heat for such a small heater? highlife4me
There was a thread on here last year on how to use your Big Buddy to heat food. It works pretty good. Big Buddy Grill
Esox_Magnum
Yes they put out alot of heat when needed, mine has been modded to go closer to 20,000 high end, 2500 low end but runs on a 20# tank....
fishinnut_3446
Thanks highlife I'll look into that.Esox, Does your heater/cooker take awhile to cool down, wouldn't want to melt my shanty moving spot to spot.
Cheers
I have used Mr Heater for years until I got a little Buddy . I still use Mr Heater to make a pot of coffee every day in my shack . It heats up fast and cools down fast , probably cold enough to touch within 2 minutes . The main reason I switched to Buddy was for the quietness of the Buddy
