its not a typo, they showed a picture of the odometer.

What would they do? Switch out the odometer/speedometer module? I don't think you can "turn them back".

I bought a AC EXT several years ago with really low mileage. Found out after a few rides that he'd cut the odometer cable.

Called him on it and he simply denied doing it. Not much you can do to prove it.

sled is advertised as having 3277 miles, I just found one of my work orders from jan 2011, that shows 3000 miles on it. I rode way more than 277 miles since then. it had about 5500 when I traded it in.
