LunkerCity
Anyone ever try a lighted decoy? I see they are around 50$ online, can't get myself to pull the trigger on one. Quote from dnr regs • Using an artificial light to see fish when spearing is unlawful. Lighted decoys are legal to use. Any battery that is used in lighted decoys must not contain mercury. Gordie
I taped a light stick to a decoy and it was a red one and did see any improvement in seeing more fish in fact I did see any when it was down. I know I will not pull the trigger. Before you do try a light stick like the ones they put on night bobbers and give it a try.
Orlip
I used a regular sized lite stick by itself once. They float so I took the treble off a spoon hooked the lite stick to the spoon and about an hour later as looked away I heard the line pop. I looked down and a northern hit the lite stick so hard he broke it off the spoon. As I said they float, I could not believe my eyes when the northern followed the lite stick as it floated to the surface. Dumb move on his part.
