Rick G
Use all the tricks you want, you will NOT outfish a glob of smashed minnows on a trebble for Cats through the ice. And we have tried! Now I'm no catfish expert or anything, but I have caught one or two during the winter on good old chicken liver Come to think of it I have gotten walleyes and crappies with the liver too at times. icefisker
I have been using the Impulse minnow heads this winter tipped on a spoon with very good results. If the fish are aggressive, it doesnt seem to matter. If you were really hungry you would at least take a bite of an artificial steak lol
greatwhitehunter
For all of you non-minnow, plastic using guys, what are some plastics to look into buying?
pikestabber
For all of you non-minnow, plastic using guys, what are some plastics to look into buying? Check out B-Y Baits (dot) com. I've been REALLY pleased with the results. If you want actual "micro" plastics that you don't have to cut down to size to get finicky fish to bite, these are the baits for you. They are heavily impregnated with anise and I think that makes a big difference.

Little Atom Nuggies, Custom Jigs Finesse tails, Gulp minnows and minnow fry, and the Clam/Maki brand baits ore some of the ones I have been using this season.
