jnwb
I posted over on the Ice Team page. Any one over here have this house? My buddy I and 2 others from the Ice team page have the following issue. The front pole is about 3 inches of the ice. This lets the wind blow right through and froze my holes in about 5 minutes yesterday. Yes it was cold and windy but I should be able to use this house on these days that is why I bought a thermal house. When set up in the warm basement the front pole is perfect. When we take them outside in the cold the pole will not even come close to touching the ice. It is like the canvas shrinks when cold. He emailed clam and they said to move the bracket in step #4 of the instructions and see if that helps. Any one try this? A little frustrated hope this gets solved love the set up otherwise. Thank You Jason
bbfenatic
Try leaving more slack with the tent in back. If it is tight when set up with no drooping tent in the back that will cause it not to reach the snow/ice down in front IMO. If you have the screwed on channels just take screws out, channel off, pull more tent up and pull to the front so you have more in front and replace channel and screws. I had to do this with my Clam Pro and now plenty of skirting touching in front.
hnd
we saw a bunch of guys with old traps that loved them and started looking at clam, after comparing and talking with others with newer shacks we went with frabill. Hope you are able to get it taken care of.
Porcupine
I cannot move my material up anymore. If I do the screws wont hit it.
jnwb
Thank You for the idea but there is no fabric left to pull out, it is just in the chanel now.
Corey Bechtold
You need to contact Customer Service and they'll help you out. I visited with a buddy that works there and he was saying all you need to do is take a picture of the tent and receipt and send it in. Let us know how it goes,Corey Bechtold
jnwb
Thanks got of the phone with them. They say to set it up it needs to stretch out. He said move the bracket to the back hole and let it stretch for a day. If this does not work to call him back.

Scott O.
Well, I tried the loosening on the velcro and I lowered the poles to the next hole and it worked. The bottom pole is now where it should be and I would encourage anyone having the bottom pole problem to do these two quick fixes.
two cups
When you lowered the poles to the other hole, does this lose some of your 67" of head room. My brother picked one up for me at the show, I have not got it from him yet. The 67" of head room was a big selling point for me. Thank you, Rick
jnwb
No, you it would be in the fishing area and only like 2 inches!
jnwb
Okay, I left the house up for 2 days to stretch and also loosened the Velcro. I just took it down and set it outside to get cold. I will set it up latter today and see what it does fingers crossed. It was fine when I set it up the first time in the house it was a problem when it got cold. I do like the house size is perfect. I will let you guys know the result.
jnwb
Okay set house up in the cold not as cold today but cold enough. The looser Velcro and stretching seemed to work thanks for the help.
