bumped a 10 pointer with does

So with the wind today I was doing some walk and stalk and I ended up bumping a big buck mature buck with 4 does. They were beded down and I didn't see them until it was too late. My question is will this buck come back to this area? There were a bunch of very fresh rubs. It is an oak grove in the middle of a sswamp. He is know on my hit list!

I would go back in after him again, sounds like he has everything he needs right there with the does and the food source. If the does didn't run off too far he may bring them back to his hangout in the next week or so. This spot with deer bedded may also be a hot area to try next year during the rut if it doesn't work out for you this year. Good luck, I guess you won't know until you have tried it a few times. Play the wind especially when walking in and if the wind isn't right I would stay out of the area.

Nothing to lose by going back in there, get after them. If they aren't there keep looking in other places because you know they are at least in the area.
