Lowrance Touchscreen

Anyone using the Lowrance Touchscreens? I own the original HDS units and have had nothing but problems with them. I am skeptikal about buying Lowrance again but the new units look pretty sweet.

I have a touch 7 and really like it. It is easy to use and the screen is nice. The unit its self is smaller which is nice. They save space by removing the buttons.

Havent went to the touchscreens yet, will on next boat but have 2 Gen 1 HDS and not an issue yet...

The gen 2's are much better then the original. I would imagine the Touch is good too.

No experience with the older HDS units but I picked up a touch 7 (for my first boat!) this summer and had a blast with it. Far more functionality than I needed but I hope to grow into it. If you want structure scan capabilities I think the touch is the way to go as the "box" is built into the unit and you only have to add the transducer. and you get the bigger screen. Even though I grew up during the gaming and computer boom at 34 y/o I now find myself slower to learn the tricks of electronics. Yet I think the touch interface is pretty intuitive-drawing on my touchscreen smart phone experience.
