I bought my suit, Why so much Velcro?

I picked up my striker ice suit this week. I like all the accessories and how you can adjust the cuff length but why do the use so much Velcro on everything instead of snaps?

For those that keep the cuff length adjusted have you had any problems with your Velcro holding you length for a long period of time? I really dont like that the quick disconnects at holding the bib straps and Velcro instead of buckles now and I guess I cant understand why they would do that?

I know it wont be a problem at first but after washing once a season I am sure the velcro will start to wear out but maybe not?

Any thoughts or opinions are welcome.

Nice suit, but that is the way it is. Lots of velcro. With the Clam Blue,Grey and Lift Suits they have snaps and zippers compartments and easy ways to store your tackle, phone, keys etc. Not saying bad about the Striker suit, but it has alot of velcro and some like that.

I've washed my climate at least a dozen times no issues, I can also say that I set my cuff length when i bought the suit it has never slipped since. The velcro used is industrial strength stuff, it takes a good amount of pull to get it to lift. I look forward to another season with my suit as well as many more, We are also always looking for feedback, feel free to shoot striker an email and let them know what you think, I know some of the suggestions people made at st paul went into this years womens line!

Another reason for the Velcro is that it's easier to fasten/unfasten with gloved hands. I've got one of the first generation Hardwater suits as well as a set of the Lite bibs from the first season and I've had no issue with any of the Velcro.

I had problems with my suit last season with the cuffs slipping , I had the use gorilla tape to hold them in place, I may add snaps if it happens again... I only purchased the pants to see how they are and I give them an 8 out of ten, I wanted the floatation for safety.
