removing lower unit?

have a 2000 Honda 50hp 4 stroke. I need to remove my lower unit so I can get at my impeller/water pump. Either have something plugging the lines or bad impeller. I watched some youtube videos and from what I can tell I have everything loosened up that needs to be and I can get the lower unit to break lose. Its just the two bolts on each side I need to loosen correct?

do I need to disconnect the shifting linkage? I can figure out what is stopping my lower from dropping down. Looking for any other information or If someone one can point me in the right way of more Honda motor information. Cant find much really.

Look in where your zinc anode is, there may be a bolt in there. Otherwise take a rubber mallet to the top of the LU, they usually stick in place.

Looks different than a Merc, but under that black fin there likely is a hidden bolt. At least Merc and Yamaha have one there. Get's most people.

found the bolt under the trim tab

lol the black marks on the lower were from a rubber mallet.
