NR Idaho Elk Hunt...

Had my first Elk hunt with a friend from college who lives in ID.....what an experience!!!

I hope to get back next year.

Had a chance at a 4x5 Bull on opening morning. Thought it was too far. Did not have my range finder. Ranged it the next day and it was 377 yds. Well within my capability.

Oh well....thats how it goes.

Saw 17 different elk in 4 days of hunting. 2 were bulls.

Hooked for life on this elk hunting deal...awesome time!!

Dixie Area...it was really cool!

Like I said, it was my first time. Hooked for life!

A super experience...will go down as one of the best hunts/hunting experiences I have ever had.

Very cool! Glad you enjoyed the first trip hunting the elusive wapiti! Now if you really want a rush, take up bow hunting and chase them around during the rut. Big old bulls screaming in, drooling all over the place! Such a rush getting up close and personal when you can usually smell them before you see them!

Yes...did run to Mackey Bar. Wow - what a beautiful sight and area!!!

Bow hunting for Elk....I think I would wet myself having a bull come crashing in! Would be really cool though!
