icecold
Hi, i was wondering if anyone can help me with info about duck hunting in south dakota. I have been waterfowling for almost 40 years, but never left the state, my 2 sons would like to try hunting in south dakota for ducks, how do we go aboat finding a area to hunt, due to budget we cant hire a guide, this would only be a weekend trip ,im not looking for anyones secret spot, just would like to know what area of state would have some areas that we can go, preferable along the minn/south dakota border area. or how i can get maps etc, do most people hunt on dnr lands etc. thanks for any advice. leechlake
first thing is you can't hunt this year. South Dakota is a drawing that you have to get in back in the Summer. You can put in as individual or a group and I'd assume you'd go the group route. Good news is you have plenty of time to plan for next year. You could go to North Dakota, no drawing.
