mnvikes32
Looking for a good pair of new boots for this upcoming year. Any suggestions?
TruthWalleyes
I can think of about 50 different pair i'd love to own...But none come in 15ee. I've been on a 2 month search for boots. Think i'm going to order a pair of bugaboos as i can find them in my size.
LunkerCity
I have one pair of boots for late season and ice fishing. Any pair of 1200g rubbers should be plenty. They are not a warm as some pac boots, but I am always wiggling my toes no matter what boots I wear. I had a pair of cab elas brand and they lasted three years of deer hunting and ice fishing. Picked up the new Irish setters, forget what they called them, but they are awesome.
bobbymalone
But none come in 15ee. Jeez, Louise. Have you tried looking at a clown supply store? Just teasin' ya a bit, man. I'm thinking you have a happy wife
bobbymalone
I have some Kamik pac boots and I haven't had cold feet since I bought them. Usually just wear some regular socks in there too. Trade-offs are price ($175 I think) and they are a bit moon bootish. I'll trade bulky for warmth any day though and they aren't too heavy that it wears on you if you are out hole hopping. They just make my size 12 feet feel like 15 EEE.
mwal
I switched to Steger Camuks last year. Have not had cold feet since. Light warm never got wet. It was weird going from super heavy Icemans that probably weighed 3 or 4lbs each to couple lbs a pair. They go up to size 15 also.Mwal
Valleye
If you want what they use in polar expeditions the Apex by Baffin. I have had these boots for the past 3 years. They are by far the warmest boots on the market. I only wear merino wool socks and they are fine. Check them out, here is a link to their HSOforum.http://www.baffin.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=40001305 You will never have cold feet with these boots! Bought these same boots last year...they are fantastic! They are very warm indeed. They are not 100% water proof, so for those that like to submerge your boots in water (i.e. streams, etc.)...these may not be for you. But they are WARM, no doubt!
