Saturn Aura Old Problem Acting Up Again

Recommended Posts

I posted this last year regarding issues my daughter is having with her Saturn Aura. Basic symptoms:

Temp Gauge is very erratic sometimes and jumps all over the place. Engine light is on but I need to check the codes but I'm assuming they will likely be same as last year. She is also complaining the car runs like dump sometimes.

I'm looking for some help on this. Wondering if some of the TSB's I've viewed could help. There is one regarding the connections 09-06-03-004D. Just seems odd that the problem went away for 8 months after I went through all the connections. I've also read on some forums about reflashing the ECM or replacing the temp sensor with a DEALER one as some of the after market ones have caused issues in the Saturn's. The temp sensor was replaced last year. Any truth to this stuff?

I'm bumping this because it happened again!

Car wouldn't start. Smelled gas like it was very rich. Get the code reader and it says temp sensor low input.

I'm tempted to replace the temp sensor again and the wire harness. I've wrung out all the wires and done the "wiggle" test with no obvious issues. Any ideas or help with this?

Here is a history on what I've done.
