CANOPY SAM
If you could buy one would you? I've got an opportunity, but right now don't know the complete condition of the bike. Should I take the chance and scoop it up for a project bike?
Whoaru99
No, at least not unless I thought I could flip it fast for some good $$.
Grum
If you have the space & cash for a project, I'd go for it, lots of parts can be found for them.
CANOPY SAM
I did the research and due diligence on this bike, and I think it COULD be a good opportunity. Problem is the bike is coming up on an estate auction. It starts with one kick, and runs smoothly on its own gas (nothing being squirted in). Essentially all original, and in nice shape despite the 54 thousand miles on her. The real problem is that numerous other collectors in the area are already aware of this bike, and several have already been looking at it pre-auction. I suspect it's going to sell high, perhaps very high, perhaps even well over what it's actually worth. I'm gonna let it slide, but doggone it, I'm wiping away the tears with the thought of letting this chance slip by. I'd love to have an old Harley like that. Oh well. Maybe another day....
