Would you add Structure Scan Sonar to your (of if you had ) Lowrance HDS unit?

As the question implies, I have an Lowrance HDS unit but didn't add the Structure Scan Transducer when I bought it some years back. It was new when I got the unit so I decided to wait. It seems like it is the real deal... Would you add it and if you could provide any rationale, it would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks,

For sure add it! You will find things you had no idea were under the water. Just drive by waypoint inside cuts, rock piles, points, etc. go back and fish them. It's a tool that can shorten the learning curve on new water tremendously, and improve your fishing on lakes you think you know.

if you do a search on this board you will find many people that are believers of side scan/structure scan.

If you are the angler that mostly just fishes slop or runs shorelines, then it may not be the best thing for you. But if you fish weed edges or off shore structure. It really is the best thing since sliced bread. I will not own a boat now that does not have it.. until they come out with something better.
