Mat Tracks conversions

A Buddy of mine has Mat Tracks on a 2005 Yamaha Grizzly 660. If I were to buy them how much do you think it would cost to buy a conversion kit or whatever is needed to put them on a 2002 Polaris 700? The Yamaha has 1700 miles on it and lots of it is with the tires on. I might be able to get them for about $1000. What do you think of that? Are tracks easy to plow with? Or are they harder to turn?

If they are in decent shape I would think that would be a good buy.

I think the cheapest ones(lightfoot?) are $3500-$4000 new, but it's been three years since I bought and sold mine(upgraded to ranger)

I'm guessing $350-$500 for conversion kit.

Harder to turn if no power steering, never plowed with mine.

Call or email Mattracks and ask to match the used tracks to your vehicle, they should give you the info and then sell you the conversion. I have enjoyed tracks on my atv and now my Polaris Ranger!

Good luck!

One thing to look at is if your going to have enough room to tilt your plow one way or the other. The tracks stick out front quite a ways so you may not be able to do anything with your plow unless it's straight unless of course you lengthen your plow mount and get your blade out far enough to tilt it. Tracks should work great for everything else tho!
