I live in savage (scott county) i was wondering if i can bow hunt on my own property, and was wondering how to be apart of the hunt that goes down in murphy hanrehan.

I have hunted Murhpy H twice. Both times I had to apply and get drawn.

Do you live in a rural setting outside the city limits?

Three Rivers Parks runs the MH hunts. Search for deer hunting on their site for the application.

Don't know about hunting your property specifically, but their was someone hunting next to MH park when I was drawn for a hunt there.

You most likely need to check out on line what the citie's law is for hunting. I know IGH has a bunch a rules and some spots in the city you cannot hunt but they have it on the city HSOforum.

Cities set the laws for hunting legally, or more likely whether or not you can discharge a weapon on your property. So, check your local laws for that one. I can nearly assure you the City of Savage does not allow hunting or shooting within city limits.

As far as the MH hunt. It is currently organized by Three RIvers and it is a lottery hunt with applications due a while ago. Only way to hunt there is wait till next year.

We's got to 9/5/2013. There still is time. Note that this year the archery hunts are over rifle opener weekend.
