MN/SD registration question

This past weekend I was out in the garage and decided to monkey around with the sled a bit.

Moved to Sioux Falls back in January but didn't get a chance to ride last winter in SD. Sled is currently registered in MN until 2014.

I did look on SD's HSOforum for snowmobile laws and I do remember the HSOforum was a lot less informational than MN's. Maybe I read it wrong, but it looked as though if a sled is registered out of state, they can ride in SD without the need for an out of state tag?

Reason for the question, when my tag's come due if that is the case, I'll continue to register it in MN and kill two birds with one stone. (between weekend trips to my parents and the in-laws the sled probably sees more miles in MN anyway)

Figure a few of you MN sled heads have been out to the hills to ride and would know.

Sorry about the delay getting back to you BoxMN....work/family life took off and I forgot to check back.

Non-resident snowmobiles validly licensed in another state can be legally operated in South Dakota.

I called SD GFP to confirm it and I'm good to go without the need of any other permits.
