Electronic question.....sorry

Just purchased a boat, motor, trailer. Looking for a top line graph to install on it. I'm sure this has been discussed, A LOT; tried looking backa few pages and nothing jumped at me.

If possible, I'd like to use a unit for ice fishing too....but not 100% necessary.

Thanks

Many here prefer Humminbird.

Someone else needs to chime in on the Bird units because I haven't followed their numbering system enough to know how it works.

Bird units either have down/side imaging or don't. It can't be added later.

For Lowrance, their HDS systems would be their top products.

Their products are numbered by screen size (5"-12") followed by if they are "Touch"screens.

Touchscreens are new this year and include down imaging and side imaging.

Non-touch models are modular which lets you add features over time, like down/side imaging, radar, satellite radio and ipod controls.

So it's up to you how much you want to spend and which features are important.
