Building Lower chest

I have a weak lower chest and was wondering if you guys had any advice. I started doing dips more, but 80% of my chest work is on the incline. I have heard that the decline press is not the best idea because it will give you droopy man****. Whats your guys take on it? What do you do? Thanks...

Flat presses, either dumbell or barbell

Flat presses will work your entire chest. I don't know where you got the info on decline work but that's false. Decline D.B. presses and flyes combined with dips targets the lower pecs and should be a part of any chest workout. Low cable flyes also target the lower pecs. By that I mean start with the cables set low and come up to a narrow flye with contraction squeezing the chest. All these are intended to work the outer and lower part of the pec.

Dips, if you have a chain or band you can use around your neck to really lean forward into it, you can target your lower chest better and do more reps since it takes your triceps out of it a bit.

I often end my chest section (before transitioning into triceps) with lying cable pullovers (dumbbells work too.) Don't go heavy with the weight, just focus on initiating the pull with your pecs (keep your arm angle constant) until you are forced to extend your triceps to lock the last bit out.

A small but worthwhile addition to back day are straight arm pulldowns on the cable machine too. Obviously it is more of a lat isolation move but I definitely feel it in my lower chest too.

If I decline press or fly I use lighter weights with high reps.

This was a weak point for me as well since I separated my shoulder and struggled with ANY movement like dips or overhead presses. It took about a year but I look pretty symmetrical now, and the shoulder got me focused on my diet and LEGS which is my new favorite day of the week wink
