Equinox - blinker problem

Recommended Posts

My Mom is bringing her 2011 Equinox over tonight, so i can hopefully just fix a bad light bulb.

When she turns the left blinker on, it is giving her 4 "normal" blinks, then fast repeating blink sounds. The left is not working when viewed. Sounds like burned out bulb to me.

But she also said she was told that her right brake light is not coming on either, when the blinker is turned on. I am not sure this is true yet.

But does anybody know if there is a connection to blinker and brake lights when one bulb is out? I plan to fix it tonight with the help of the napa store down the road smile Thanks for any advice.

Yep, it was just a 3157 on left rear. Phillips and normal screwdrivers were all I needed. I always get scared of pullin out light assembly the first time, thinking I will break the tabs etc. this one just slides straight back toward rear, real easy.

It did do 4 normal signals and then the expected fast flashing. Now all good smile
