Mille Lacs Guide

Looking for advice on a guide for Mille Lacs. I would like to spend a full day musky fishing sometime on the July 4th week if its not too late for to arrange something. Looking for someone who can teach and also give me some good tips.

hands down Jason Hamernick, best guide on that water. My guess is he is probably booked but its worth a shot

You cannot beat Hammernick. The guy has put more 50 inch fish and 50# class fish in his boat than anyone in MN that I know of. Many of those fish are from Mille Lacs.

I am not sure where he tends to guide mostly in the summer months, but I know he targets Mille Lacs big time in the Fall.

He would really be my first choice.

Otherwise try hooking up with Steve Scepaniak. Sorry I dont have contact information for him, but perhaps a good ole search you would find him. He fishes that lake a ton and has for many years.

Spends his offseason working at Scheels in St Cloud. Fun guy to talk to.

I second the tip on Scepaniak, great guy with a wealth of knowledge. Predator Guide Service is his.

Thanks for the replies, Ill contact both and see if one of them is available for when I am. Being a novice musky fisherman I can hopefully get some good advice from either one and maybe even get on in the boat for a nice pic or two.
