What grade of fuel are you using in your bike?

Just curious as to what grade of fuel are people using to fill up these days with the high price of fuel, even though we get much better mileage in the bikes, how many are still shelling out for the high test or the even more expensive, and harder to find non-oxy?

A lot of the late model V-twins call for premium fuel. I run anything without ethanol. My Goldwing says 87 but to run ethyl free I have to use non-oxy. Also 91 in the Victory. Unless your bike calls for premium, it will not be able to tell the difference and neither will you. I stay away from the corn gas. In my opinion your asking for trouble if you use it. My 6.2 Gm pickup motor calls for premium and will detune itself if I run 87. Most bikes wont do that. It is a noticeable difference in power if I run premium and milage is a tad better also

The Vulcan likes 91 minimum. Knocks & pings if it's warm/hot out and I use a lesser octane.

The RF900, OTOH, works just fine on plain old "regular". Seems to run better on it than on premium.

Far as oxy or non, I put in whatever is handy at the time. Not a big oxy hater and I'm sure the heck not paying $0.50 - $1.00 extra for non. Have quite a few various items from older to newer and never a problem that I can say is fault of ethanol.
