Turn signal

I have one turn signal/daytime running light that only last about a week and then it burns out.

What would cause this premature burnout problem?

Check for burnt connections in the socket and or the base of the bulb. This is pretty common on gm vehicles and some chryslers. This is also more common for bulbs like a 3157 that have a push in blade style base.

The bulbs are burnt, Whats the fix for this?

Maybe some dielectric grease?

Just to clarify. Year, make, model, and engine size?

And the base of the bulb that makes contact with the socket is burnt, correct?

If true the socket needs to be replaced.

Same car as always, 99 Olds Intrigue with a 3.5 ltr. eng.

I replaced the front turn signal bulbs with the bulbs listed in Sylvanias book,

arn't turn signals amber? The book said clear bulbs,(#4157)

#4157NA, the "NA" indicates that it is an amber bulb.

My dad has the very same car with the very same issue. After replacing the bulb several times knowing full well it needed a socket I finally gave in and replaced it. Hasn't burned one out in over a year so far.

Ok great, bulb and socket change. Where can I get the replacement socket?

I'm pretty sure that one has to come from the dealer.
