TrashDux*
I really can't wait 'til spring. I am still a duckhunter, but those snows are gettin' addictive. And lastly...one day's worth of bands. 4 of the 12 2 of us shot last year.

TrashDux*
Well...if I apply myself...i can clean 2 birds a minute. Those 2 weekends I kept over 100 geese each time...and cleaned for about an hour to an hour and a half. The hard part is making room in the freezer. TrashDux*
Here's a few more for ya...I got lot's if ya want 'em. Here's me with a limit for two of us one day... Another...The most memorable weekend of duck shooting I have ever had. For 2 days of hunting...it took about 5 hours of boat travel each day...and only gave us 15 minutes of shooting before we filled out on Mallards. The weekend after the deer opener...and all was covered in ice. [This message has been edited by TrashDux (edited 08-27-2004).]

hanson
Well, I'm going to get in on this photo action here. Couple drake Gadwalls from last fall. My opinion, one of the most beautiful ducks out there. The beauty is in the subtle details. One outstanding diver hunt in the snow! We absolutely couldn't keep them out of the decoys that day. I live for days like that one. I'm starting a thread in the Photo Sharing forum for Duck Hunting Photos too. Where is SW MN did you shoot those birds, I was down there the same weekend and shot our limit of mallerds and geese in the middle of the day. TrashDux*
Well...Thanks for the compliments of the pictures. I am starting to put more effort into taking nices pics. I get every season just goin' back a lookin' at past hunts...and reminiscing. AND...the thoughts of more to come. My hunting partner has a pretty creative touch when it comes to taking pictures...I have none...but i'm learning. I just wish I had a better digital camera. My sony is a dinasaur...and has limitations on what it can do as far as adjustability. I'll get a new one someday! As far as locations...I really can't say. I will say this...I only hunt public areas! And better yet...heavily pressured areas. The out of ***** hunts after we close here are the best...we get to deal with extreme conditions...notice me in a T-shirt Thanksgiving weekend...the following weekend it never got above 20 degrees(kneeling on ice...same location) But luckily..the guys I hunt with aren't afraid of a 400-450 mile drive(one way) to continue shooting ducks until January!!GADWALLS!!! By far the most underrated duck..not only by appearance. A winter plumaged drake Gaddy is a sweet looking bird, definitely on of my favorites. But I really like the Greenheads!!!More to come...[This message has been edited by TrashDux (edited 08-30-2004).][This message has been edited by TrashDux (edited 08-30-2004).]
TrashDux*
Sorry...don't mean to be so vague! I'll just say that was about 130 miles north of Windom!I believe that was the weekend before the Deer Season opener. It was by far a migration weekend. From sunup to sunset there were birds all over. We really hammered them for a few days straight...I think everyone I have ever talked to that was out that weekend did really well. It was by far the heaviest, shortest migration I have ever seen. It's just too bad the birds did not stop.I like hunting the Windom area...and I do hunt it friequently...when my secret holes have water in them. Theyh have been dry since '98...and this year it may change!!!
TrashDux*
Sometimes the pictures with no people are the best. The one with the Canadas taken by my friend is by far one of the best photo's he has ever taken I think. Simple, and there's just something about those fatbodies layin' on the ice!! TrashDux*
this is from my first time to Arkansas this past January. The ducks were really thick down there and we had to work, and stay on the go for them. We met up with 2 other from MN down there, and hunted a nice little hole I found the night before! That timber hunting is pretty sweet. I had nevet done it 'til this trip...and I will definately be makingit an annual trip. We just went down out of the blue with no ideas, exceot the WMA we wanted to hunt...and just hunted where we say birds. Another pic I really like. Couldn't really ask for a better background. Roosterslayer05
Trashdux- I dident meen exact location but the towns you were around. I hunted the windom area that weekend on about the most pressured public land in sw MN. There were tons of mallerds and geese around that weekend. we got 3 geese in the morning then my dad went pheasent hunting and me and a friend hunted ducks from 1-4 oclock we shot 9 ducks, 8 mallerds and a ringer. They were coming in to our spread of 10 decoys like we had a 100 decoys out. I wish I could post the pics but we took them with a regular camera and i dont have a scanner. Best duck hunting Iv ever had.
TrashDux*
Here's a pic of Wooduck26 after we whacked 'em in another secret hole! It was the first time any of us had been to this lake..it was pretty exciting getting stuck on rocks and putting a hole in Woodies boat!!! If he has any others...i'll post them up too. By the way...someone else has got to have some photo's to share!!! I can post them if you don't know how...just need to email them to me.
