In Boat Accessories Power

Recommended Posts

getting everything on the up & ready in the boat, connected starting battery to give everything a test...tilt trim work, so does graph, but nothing else inside boat runs including internal lights, navigation lights, bilge, etc. would first thing to replace/check be the inline fuse on this line? basically its everything on control panel by steering wheel.

LOL...I knew I had everything connected & was read to go buy some new fuses today when I decided to get boat out and start it first, after running the motor 5 minutes then everything kicked in perfectly, did not know I would have to run motor to get charge going thru wires prior to working, thought I could just make connections and accessories would work after winter storage, apparently need to run motor first to help out.

I would suspect a loose connection somewhere that the jostling around fixed. More jostling around may unfix it when you hit the water.

Might be worth double checking because in my mind, running the motor should not have affected your problem.

You still have a problem. You just don't know what or where it is. Better to find it now than to have it reappear at an inconvenient time. Disconnect and clean every electrical connection you can find. Start at the negative terminal on the battery. Clean it and leave it disconnected until you are done with all the rest of the connections. Always disconnect the negative first and reconnect it last.
